2. General information on data processing

We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website together with our content and services. Processing generally takes place only with the user's consent or where a legal provision permits it.

This website is delivered over an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS), recognisable by “https://” in your browser's address bar.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The provider processes the data generated when the site is accessed on our behalf. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.

Each time the site is accessed, the server automatically collects the following data:

The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website and in defending against attacks. The log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purposes stated. According to our hosting provider, the retention period ranges from a few days to a maximum of 90 days, depending on security and operational requirements.

4. Enquiries via the contact form

When you send us an enquiry via the form, we process the data you enter: first name, last name, email address, optionally your phone number and the content of your message (travel dates and number of guests). We also store the date and time of receipt and the IP address from which the enquiry was sent. Storing the IP address serves solely to prevent misuse and spam.

The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as processing is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures at your request. We additionally base the processing on your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you give via the checkbox in the form. You may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by email to the address stated above.

After submitting the form you will receive an automatic acknowledgement of receipt at the email address provided. This is part of handling your enquiry and is not advertising.

We delete your enquiry as soon as it has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion. If a rental agreement is concluded, commercial and tax retention periods of up to ten years apply.

The form is transmitted in encrypted form. The enquiry is delivered to our mailbox as an email and stored there.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no tracking cookies and embeds no advertising networks. We only store your decision from the consent banner in your browser's local storage so that the banner is not shown again on every visit.

This storage is technically necessary in order to implement your privacy decision. The legal basis is Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDG in conjunction with Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

6. Google Maps

In the “Location & surroundings” section we offer a map view provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The map is not loaded automatically. You initially see only a placeholder area. Only when you actively click “Load map” or “Accept all” in the consent banner is a connection to Google's servers established. The following data may be transmitted to Google in the process:

Google may be able to associate this data with an existing Google account if you are signed in to one. Transfer to the USA is possible. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so an adequacy decision of the European Commission pursuant to Article 45 GDPR is in place.

The legal basis is exclusively your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDG. You may withdraw your consent at any time using the button in the section “Cookies and local storage”. Withdrawal takes effect for the future.
